LIPOMA GROWTH PRESSURE – SURGERY PHOTOS
Intraoperatively, the lipoma could be precisely tracked under optimal hemostasis – and therefore optimal visibility for the surgeon – as it penetrated through the forearm fascia into the deep vascular-nerve compartment (the closed scissors indicate the direction of the lipoma expansion into the depths of the elbow).

The previous location of the removed lipoma. A small part of the lipoma, under the pressure of growth, had wedged itself deep between the major vascular and nerve structures, ultimately causing impairment as well as symptoms of nerve irritation and deficiency.
The completely removed lipoma, postoperatively. It is evident that during its growth, the lipoma divided within the body, resulting in the presence of multiple lipomas (at least 4 on this side). Additionally, under the airflow from the operating room's air conditioning, the delicate lipoma capsule has dried out slightly and "shrunk." This allows for easy visual confirmation that the lipoma, along with its surrounding capsule, was completely (without residue) removed.

The removed lipoma conglomerate, viewed from the side, compared to one of our essential 11.5 cm long microsurgical dissecting scissors used for lipoma removal: The nodule is now oriented upwards, and on the left side (indicated by an arrow), satellite lipomas are arranged like a string of pearls. These satellite lipomas found at this location within the body were also histologically confirmed.
