LIPOMA REMOVAL WITH INDENTATION FORMATION – SURGERY PHOTOS
Photo 1: Intraoperatively, after the complete removal of the lipoma. It's visible that the displacing growth of the lipoma has caused a large, crater-like tissue defect where the skin sinks in after tumor removal. This deep, dimple-like defect won't self-correct without further surgical measures (such as adipose tissue flap grafts for sculpting defect filling using autologous tissue). We successfully performed such a procedure on this patient.
Photos 2 + 3: The removed lipoma (more like a lipoma conglomerate). It's apparent that this is not a "round" tumor, but a "composite" one, composed of many new buds, with fibrously (still) attached yet distinct individual tumors.
